Mission & Purpose

Flemingsberg has decades of scientific excellence and a long-standing pioneering role in cell and gene therapy, forming a strong foundation for ATMP research and development. ATMP Flemingsberg is a platform dedicated to highlighting the area’s strong and integrated landscape, and supporting its continued growth.

Flemingsberg offers a complete and collaborative ATMP ecosystem, spanning the entire value chain – from world-class research and process development to GMP manufacturing, clinical implementation, and patient treatment. It includes advanced research and production infrastructure with the Karolinska ATMP Centre, Karolinska University Hospital as well as a dynamic campus and a growing community of companies. Together, they create unique conditions for translation from early discovery to clinical impact.

Coordinator

The platform is run by the Flemingsberg Science Foundation, which serves as a neutral actor in facilitating and supporting the continued development of the ATMP landscape in the area through fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and continued growth across academia, healthcare, and industry.
