Mötesplats ATMP i Väst 2026 brings together industry and healthcare experts to enable structured dialogue on advanced therapy medicinal products relevant for Swedish healthcare.

Mötesplats ATMP i Väst returns in 2026 as a focused forum for dialogue on advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs). The initiative is jointly organised by Västra Götalandsregionen and Lif – the research-based pharmaceutical industry.

The meeting creates a structured environment where pharmaceutical companies meet regional experts. Together, they exchange knowledge on ATMPs relevant for Swedish healthcare in the coming years.

Strengthening dialogue on ATMPs

The region seeks deeper insight into ATMPs expected to enter clinical trials or clinical use within the next three years. At the same time, companies may also present ATMPs that have not yet received marketing authorisation.

As a result, the forum supports early dialogue on cell therapy, gene therapy, and other advanced treatments. This helps healthcare organisations prepare for future implementation.

Sahlgrenska University Hospital

The primary audience includes professionals at Sahlgrenska University Hospital who currently deliver, or plan to deliver, ATMP treatments. In addition, relevant support functions within the hospital take part.

All participants are connected to Sahlgrenska’s ATMP Council. The council acts as an advisory body for all new ATMPs, regardless of whether they are used in clinical trials or routine care. It also ensures that relevant hospital and regional stakeholders are invited.

Agenda review and prioritisation

Registering pharmaceutical companies must clearly describe the topics they plan to present. Based on the submitted agendas, the ATMP Council assesses the relevance and value of each contribution.

If necessary, the council may prioritise between registrations or request adjustments to the proposed content. In some cases, companies may be asked to address alternative topics. All submitted documents are considered public records.

Mötesplats ATMP i Väst 2026 takes place on 12 May 2026 at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

Each company is allocated:

• 25 minutes for presentation and discussion

• 5 minutes for transition

The registration deadline is 10 April 2026, register at your earliest convenience.
