Clinical Trials Day 2026
How does an idea in the laboratory become a treatment that improves — and sometimes saves — lives? During Clinical Trials Day 2026, Uppsala University Hospital invites researchers, healthcare professionals, patients and life science partners to explore the full journey from research to patient care.
The programme highlights the entire research pathway, from preclinical discovery and clinical trials to implementation in healthcare and real patient benefit. Through exhibitions, advisory sessions, lectures and panel discussions, participants will gain insight into the collaborations, infrastructure and expertise required to bring innovative therapies to patients.
Featured speakers include Professor Gunilla Enblad, presenting experiences from the pioneering CAR-T and CARMA studies, alongside experts such as Hannah Karlsson and Christina Kawati Stenberg discussing the ecosystem that enables advanced therapies and clinical research.
The event will also highlight Uppsala’s role as a national hub for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), and includes a patient perspective on how research can transform lives, followed by a panel discussion on the future of clinical trials and precision medicine.
