Rethinking Value: How should we assess new treatments?
On 13 October 2026, Stockholm Science City hosts a breakfast seminar in Hagastaden on how we should assess new treatments. New therapies improve quality of life, but their benefits also reach beyond the individual patient. Effective treatment can cut sick leave, lift productivity and spur investment, yet standard assessments capture little of this.
The panel brings together health economics, industry and Sweden’s pricing and reimbursement agency TLV. They ask which societal benefits belong in an assessment of value. Two further themes are the risk of narrow definitions, and what better access to healthcare data could reveal.
Breakfast starts at 08:00, and the seminar runs from 08:30 to 09:50. Only a limited number of places are available, so register here no later than 7 October.
