ATMP Path2Patient

Aiming to strengthen conditions for ATMP commercialization in Skåne-Blekinge by establishing testing environments and connecting researchers and startups with the skills, networks, and capital they need.

ATMP Path2Patient is an EU co-funded initiative in southern Sweden, bringing together stakeholders to strengthen the ecosystem and provide tailored early support for the development and commercialization of cutting-edge research in Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) – next-generation cell and gene therapies.

The project is a collaboration between Lund University (including LU Innovation, LU-ATMP and the pre-GMP Facility), Region Skåne’s ATMP Center at Skåne University Hospital, SmiLe Venture Hub AB, and Medicon Village Innovation. Together, the partners connect academia, healthcare, innovation and commercialization support, manufacturing expertise and industry to build a more coordinated pathway from research to patient benefit.

By improving access to specialized knowledge, infrastructure, networks, capital and tailored business development support, ATMP Path2Patient aims to reduce development risk, shorten translation timelines and help more ATMP innovations move towards clinical application, scale-up, commercialization and patient access.
