CRISPR/Cas9 [ENGLISH]

Gene-editing tool used for making highly specific genomic modifications, consisting of a specifically designed piece of guide RNA (gRNA), which is used to recognize a specific DNA sequence that bears a palindromic repeat, and a Cas9 enzyme to cut at a specific site and remove a piece of genomic DNA, ready for the introduction of a new DNA sequence.
