endpoint [ENGLISH]

Adefined parameter that is measured to evaluate the outcome of an intervention. A ‘humane endpoint’ is a clear behavioral or physiological indicator established prior to the start of an animal experiment that defines the point at which the experimental animal’s potential pain and/or distress will be terminated, minimized or reduced.
