The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has launched a Clinical Trial Map, helping patients and healthcare professionals across the EU easily find ongoing clinical trials and improve access to ATMPs.
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has launched a new digital tool designed to make clinical trials more accessible to patients across the EU. The Clinical Trial Map, available through the Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS), provides a user-friendly interface for patients and healthcare professionals to easily search for ongoing clinical trials in their local area.
This new feature supports better patient access to vital clinical research, an essential step in the development of ATMPs. The Clinical Trial Map allows users to search by geographic location and medical condition, making it simpler for patients to find relevant trials and connect directly with study investigators.
The platform is designed to enhance transparency and promote patient involvement in clinical research. By providing real-time information on trial locations and details, the Clinical Trial Map addresses long-standing challenges in clinical trial recruitment and patient participation.
This first version of the map is available in English, with additional language options expected in the future. Explore the new tool today and stay informed about clinical trials in your area.
